What Is Invisible Text (Blank Text)?
Invisible text is text made up of special Unicode characters that look completely blank but are not the same as a regular spacebar space. When you paste these characters into a text field, they appear empty — but the field is not actually empty. They take up space or occupy a character slot without displaying any visible glyph. This makes invisible characters genuinely useful. Many apps and games block you from submitting an empty field, but an invisible character bypasses that restriction instantly. You can use blank characters to create an invisible name in a game, add white space to a social media bio, or send a blank message in a chat app without it being rejected. This tool gives you three of the most compatible invisible characters available, all ready to copy in one click. Whether you need an invisible text for Instagram, a blank username for a game, or an empty character for any other platform, just pick your option and copy.
How to Copy and Paste Invisible Characters
Getting an invisible character takes three steps. No account, no download, no settings to configure.
Choose Your Character Type
Select from the three options in the tool above. The default option ("Works everywhere") covers most platforms and is the right starting point for nearly every use case. If a character does not work on your target platform, switch to one of the alternatives.
Set the Number of Characters
Use the + and - buttons to choose how many invisible characters you want. One character is enough for most situations like a blank name or an empty field. Use more characters if you need wider spacing or a longer blank gap in formatted text.
Click "Copy" and Paste Anywhere
Hit the "Copy Invisible Text" button. The characters are now on your clipboard. Go to the app, game, or website you are using and paste normally (Ctrl+V on Windows, Cmd+V on Mac, or long-press on mobile). The blank space copy and paste process is the same everywhere: copy here, paste there.
Invisible Text for Gaming
The most popular use for blank characters in gaming is creating an invisible name. An empty player name makes your character appear nameless on screen, which can create a visual effect or simply make your profile stand out.
PUBG Mobile / BGMI
Open your profile in PUBG Mobile or BGMI and tap the name change option. Clear the existing name, paste the invisible character, and confirm. Option A works on most servers. If rejected, try Option B — it is sourced from a different part of the Unicode standard and passes filters that block Option A on certain regional servers.
Free Fire
In Free Fire, go to your profile and select the rename option. Delete your current name, paste the copied blank character, and save. One invisible character is usually enough. If the platform shows an error, try increasing the character count to 2 or 3, as some versions require a minimum character width.
Among Us
In Among Us, enter the name field in the lobby screen and paste the blank character before starting a game. The invisible name will display as empty above your character during gameplay. Option A is recommended. Option C (Zero-width) is not supported and will be ignored by the game.
Invisible Text for Social Media
Blank and invisible characters have a range of practical uses on social media platforms.
Instagram Bio
Instagram's bio field does not support standard line breaks from a desktop browser — but blank characters can be used alongside line breaks to create precise spacing and visual separation between lines. Paste an invisible space to indent text or use blank characters as visual dividers. Option A works consistently on Instagram.
Twitter / X
On Twitter/X, you can post a blank tweet by pasting invisible characters into the compose box. The tweet will appear empty. The same technique works for display names: paste an invisible character as your display name to make it appear blank.
TikTok
TikTok allows invisible characters in profile bios and comments. A blank bio will display as completely empty rather than showing a placeholder prompt. In comments, invisible characters can be used to add spacing between lines of text.
Invisible Text for Messaging
Sending a blank message is one of the most searched uses for invisible characters.
Paste an invisible character into the message box and the send button will become active. The message will appear blank on the recipient's screen. This works in both individual chats and group chats.
Discord
Discord filters Zero-width Space (Option C). Use Option A instead — it passes Discord's validation and the message will appear blank. This applies to both direct messages and server channels. Note that Discord's moderation bots on some servers may flag unusual Unicode characters.
Telegram
Telegram allows invisible characters in messages without filtering. Option A and Option B both work reliably.
Platform Compatibility
Not every invisible character works on every platform. Use the table below to find the right option.

Types of Invisible Characters
Braille Pattern Blank — U+2800 (Option A — default)
The most widely compatible invisible symbol. Despite being part of the Braille character set, it renders as a blank glyph on virtually every platform and operating system. It occupies visible width — meaning it takes up space like a letter — which is why it works for blank names and empty fields. Recommended for almost all use cases.
Hangul Filler — U+3164 (Option B — alternative)
This invisible letter originates from the Korean Unicode block. It also occupies visible width and renders as blank on most systems. It behaves as an alternative on platforms where Option A is filtered. Particularly useful on certain mobile game platforms.
Zero Width Space — U+200B (Option C — zero-width)
Takes up no visual width at all. It is genuinely invisible — no space, no gap, no visible presence. Useful for word wrapping control or splitting text without visible spacing. Filtered by Discord and does not work for blank game names.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is invisible text?
Invisible text refers to content made from special Unicode characters that render as completely blank. Unlike a regular space, these characters are recognized as valid non-empty input by most apps and platforms.
How do I copy invisible text?
Use the tool at the top of this page. Select your character type, set the number of characters, and click the Copy button. Then paste wherever you need it using Ctrl+V, Cmd+V, or your device's paste option.
Does invisible text work on Instagram, Discord, and PUBG?
Yes, with the right option. Option A works on Instagram Bio, Discord, and PUBG Mobile. Option C does not work on Discord. See the compatibility table for details.
What is the difference between invisible text and a regular space?
A regular space is ASCII U+0020 that many apps strip out or reject in name fields. The invisible characters here are from different parts of the Unicode standard — they look blank but are treated as valid, non-blank characters by most input validation systems.
Is invisible text safe to use?
Yes. These are standard Unicode characters that have been part of the specification for decades. They are not scripts, not code, and not malware. Pasting them into a text field is no different from pasting any other character.
Why isn't the invisible character working?
Some platforms filter specific Unicode characters after updates. First, confirm you are using Option A. If Option A is rejected, try Option B. If neither works, the platform may have recently added a filter. Check back — the tool will be updated if better alternatives become available.
Can I use invisible text for a blank username?
Yes, this is one of the most common uses. Copy one invisible character and paste it into the username or name field. See the Gaming and Social Media sections above for platform-specific instructions.
How many invisible characters can I copy at once?
This tool supports between 1 and 100 characters per copy. One character is enough for most name and bio use cases. Use more if you need wider blank gap in formatted text.
